FACTS:
DOT Notified Walton County that they are going to put $177 million in DOT 5-year work plan for HWY 331 Bridge (2013).  These are federal and state funds. It would be a separate bridge, shore to shore, running next to the current bridge.

Need $75 million local match from county (DOT has no position or involvement with how the county comes up with the $75 Million). DOT would maintain the bridge after it is built and if any over runs occur during construction it will be at DOT's expense.  The county is only responsible for the $75 million.  However, if it comes in under the budgeted amount, the same amount is due since it would aid in the completion of the project to 4 lane the remaining roadway to I-10.
