Colonel Arthur Meriwether Jones II

JONES, II Colonel Arthur Meriwether Jones II, USAF, Retired, age 86 of Andalusia died Tuesday April 19, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services for Colonel Jones were held on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 10:30am from the St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Andalusia. The Reverend John Coleman officiated. Interment was at 2:30PM in the Gulf Cemetery in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. The Reverend Pat Dunn officiated. Air Force military honors were conducted at graveside. Colonel Jones is survived by his wife, Lisbeth "Bibba" Jones of Andalulsia; one son, Arthur Howard Jones of San Diego, Calif.; three daughters, Nancy Gillette Jones of Kauai, Hawaii, Susan Jones Seltzer of Niceville, Florida, and Deborah Jones Coble of Pensacola, Fla.; one grandchild, Lindsay Kay Seltzeer; one step daughter, Lisbeth Jackson(Lewis) of Freeport, Florida; two step sons, Robert Lowe Byrd (Sally) of Durham, N.C., and James Murray Byrd (Mary) of Daphne, Ala.; 6 step grandchildren, Stephen Byrd (MDunnichelle) Sarah Byrd, Elizabeth Byrd, Haas Byrd, Anne Jackson Turner, Gregory Wendol Jackson; two step great grandchildren, Haas Turner and Ashley Byrd. Pallbearers will be Arthur Jones, John Riddle, Jim Byrd, Bob Byrd, Greg Jackson and Haas Byrd. The family did receive friend in the library of St. Mary's Episcopal Church at 9:30am Saturday.
